Sunny is a great character. She's sarcastic and funny and heart-warming. I enjoyed the new love interest and the visits to the other realms. My favorite was the ice fairies. Hehe.
If you've read Shadow Dancer and Shadow Warrior, you MUST read Shadow's End! It's full of surprises. I only wished the story never ended. I hope the author writes another book and tells us what happened to Leif.
This series just got better and better, to me. Partly because of the characters themselves (Sunny, the main character, is witty and laugh-out-loud funny at times--battling in her flip-flops... lol!--and many of the other characters I felt like I knew them personally by the second/third book and enjoyed their parts just to "see" them again) but also the writing got stronger and stronger, pulling me in more and more the deeper I got. Some parts really blew me away, like the descriptions and emotions, and everything that's going on with the plot. Very creative too with all the different realms and creatures Sunny meets. There's also a lot of personal growth going on that you really need to read to the end to absorb how well this series, and Sunny's character, pulls together.
Shadows End is the last in the series about Sunny and her new acquired world of Acadia. I've read them all. I am fascinated with Sunny's ability to disappear into the shadows and also to create energy around herself to help ward off the enemy. Wow, wish I had those super powers!
Shadows End kept me captivated throughout and I enjoyed visiting all the different realms that the writer created. The blue fairies in the Ice Realm scared me, but fascinated me at the same time!
Sunny is such a delightful character that not only has a lot of stubbornness, strength, and boldness to her, she also brings out her sense of humor in nearly every scenario that happens throughout the three books in the series.
The ending of Shadows End was perfect but left me wishing there was more to come! I believe this series is perfect for teens as well as adults.
The world of shadow walkers is growing...and they're finding they have more abilities and allies than they originally thought. Sunny is struggling to balance her new world/life in Acadia with her simple existence in the water realm - Earth.
Courtney Rene continues Sunny's journey and experience in book three of the Shadow Dancer series, with Shadow's End.
In Shadow's End we find Sunny trying to deal with the betrayal and deception of her previous relationships while she tackles the complications of her life. How is she going to do what needs doing in Arcadia and still live a normal `teen life' on Earth? Family, friends, and males have her pulled in various directions and she's lost most of the time.
Through various circumstances, she learns that there's more to her world(s) than anyone previously knew. And with that knowledge, and more about her real mother and how she died, Sunny starts to become stronger and tackles the challenges of her life head on.
With the help and assistance of many, she learns there's strength in numbers even when time is running short. Quick thinking, kind actions, and real caring play big roles in the outcome of this young woman's existence.
The book sucks you in and makes you care about Sunny - her world and her struggles. Along the way, the story takes twists and gives you little surprises that you weren't expecting. I give Shadow's End 5 stars.
I usually don't write reviews for books, but this one I needed to write. I have read all 3 of the Shadow Series and fell in love with them from the very start. I love reading fantasy books with Vampires and Warewolves, so it was great to get another form of fantasy out there with Shadow Walkers.
This author is wonderful at writing and would recommend it to anyone for some easy reading to take you away from your stress and life to put you into another world.
I couldn't put them down, I was reading them at work between phone calls and patients. I read the entire last book in 1 day. It was so good, I loved it.
I hope to see more books from this Author and yes more in the Shadow Series.
